Awarded ERC Synergy Grant
Extremely happy that our lab has been awarded a highly competitive ERC Synergy Grant together with our collegues Kevin Verstrapen (VIB-KU, Belgium) and Julien Gagneur (TUM, Germany).

Really happy to see our interdisciplinary collaboration with the Javannmard (Rutgers) and Steinmetz (Stanford) labs in simplified pathogen detection. […]

Deadline 20.08.2023
We have an open position focussed on the development of novel computational approaches to study gene expression and RNA metabolism in complex bacterial samples. The candidate will focus on the multiomic integration of a wide variety of genomic data (metagenomics, metatranscriptomics, metadegradomics and phenotypic data). This will include the study of the crosstalk between translation regulation and mRNA decay in response to environmental and drug perturbations using novel tools that our laboratory has recently developed (Huch, Nersisyan et al. Nat microbiology 2023).
Deadline 24.Jun.2023
Extremely happy to see our work our on metadegradomics published in Nature microbiology.
Kudos to Susanne and Lilit who spearheaded this work.
We have an open postdoctoral position in single-cell RNA biology. The available postdoctoral position concerns developing and applying novel genomic approaches to study RNA-protein interaction and subcellular localization at single-cell level. The candidate will focus on investigating how translation and mRNA stability are regulated, and how the disruption of those processes across cells alter cellular phenotypes in health and disease.
Deadline 27 May 2023
Very happy to see our or story showing how differential regulation of mRNA stability modulates transcriptional memory in budding yeast. A great work leaded by Bingnan Li in our lab.
Our collaboration with Martine Collart Lab is finally out in Genome Research. Here we used 5PSeq to study ribosome dynamics in insoluble fractions, that are not accessible to methods such as ribosome profiling. Great collaboration.
